CTAE Mission To prepare students for the 21st century global workplace by providing a sequence of rigorous career courses and real world experiences that build technical skills and workplace knowledge while exposing students to a variety of career options and industry requirements.

A Counseling Program is... a comprehensive school model designed to generate high levels of academic, social, and career development, and is a shared and collaborative effort amongst counselors, parents, teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders that focuses on all aspects of student achievement (ASCA Model). Career Pathways There are three required courses for each pathway Engineering Hospitality and Tourism Audi/Video Technology Small Business Development There are three required courses for each pathway Students are encouraged to complete career pathways Impacts College & Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI)

Move On When Ready (MOWR) Students can begin their college career early and receive both a high school diploma and college credit. High school students who have attended a public school within the past year and were counted as Full-time. Students must be a Georgia resident.

Advanced Placement (AP) The College Board’s AP Program gives students the opportunity to take college level courses while in high school and to possibly earn college credit by taking an AP exam. AP courses are available for students with the goal of all college-bound students taking at least three-four AP courses before graduation. AP courses give students a head start on college which sends a powerful message to colleges and universities that students are ready.

Credit Recovery This Credit Recovery Program should: Conduct ongoing assessment of student academic progress; Identify and commit to specific goals and strategies to address identified academic needs; Include a comprehensive Credit Recovery Plan; Support student achievement and positively impact graduation rate.
