General Trip Info Ms. Lovick & Ms. Devenuto are the staff chaperones- there are no parent chaperones for this trip Price is based on 4 students to a room. $150 extra per student if you prefer only 2 in a room- email Ms. Lovick for further info and to request 2 in a room Students get to pick their roommates- this will happen in January 2019 Based on first come first served- wait list will be created after first 40 sign up Remind app will be used to communicate with parents and students before and during the entire trip Students can pack snacks, drinks to bring on trip so they don’t have to spend money of their own Extra money would only be needed for: Santa Monica Pier (rides, snacks, games if desired) the beach is amazing and FREE  Shirts, hoodies, stickers etc from any campus bookstore- we will visit at each campus we tour Snacks (students may pack water, snacks in a separate suitcase to save money! We have a LOT of room in the bus storage area!

Registering and Payments $150 deposit due (non-refundable) by June 30th 2018 Please note this is an extremely popular trip and once we have 40 deposits the trip is full and a wait list will be created. First come- first served. After we have 40 students pay, a wait list will be created Please pay online at the CVCHS webstore www.claytonvalley.org Remaining balance of $469 must be paid by December 1st 2018 Once we have the deposit we pay it to IST- so we cannot refund any money if your student is removed from the trip for low grades or behavior issues

Making up homework Students are responsible for making up work they miss while on this trip. CVCHS expects you to keep your grades high after missing these days- do not let this trip become an excuse for your grades to fall… You need to speak to your teachers BEFORE the trip to find out what assignments you will need to make up. We return on a Friday and you’ll need to complete work that weekend to turn in when we return so that you don’t fall behind in your classes It is not the teachers responsibility to give you the assignments- you need to check in with them! 14

Behavior We are expecting excellent behavior from students. Students are expected to follow school rules at all times. Any misbehavior or inappropriate behavior will have consequences Suspension, loss of privileges, etc. We expect you to show these colleges how amazing CVCHS students behave! Please be respectful of others on the bus and in hotel rooms Stay positive  Random bag checks will occur if at any time staff believes you have inappropriate items with you on the trip.

Hotel Boundaries Each night we will be checking that the correct students are in their appropriate rooms Students are not to be in the rooms with members of the opposite sex Students can hang out with friends in common areas of the hotel Students are to be in their rooms by 10 pm each night for curfew and bed check Students are not allowed off the Hotel property unless they are with a relative that lives in L.A.

Please email Ms. Lovick at Questions? Please email Ms. Lovick at Sarah.Lovick@claytonvalley.org
