(Graduate Entrepreneur) Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa The Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa offers international students a chance to develop and put into practice their business ideas in the UK.

You must have a credible business idea What are the main points to remember when applying for the Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa? You must be an international student due to graduate this academic year or have graduated in the last 2 years You must have a credible business idea You must to have the required savings according to Home Office guidelines You must have successfully passed Student Enterprise’s Tier 1 (GE) application process You must be able to meet all Home Office requirements and have received an endorsement letter

Lets expand on some of these points ….

Credible Business Idea You must have genuine and credible business idea to apply for the Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa. Student Enterprise are looking for: Evidence of market research and identification of target customer groups Demonstrate how the business will broaden and grow its customer base and potential revenue Completion of Student Enterprise’s application form, including: a business model canvas, executive summary and 3 year financial projections Note: the business idea cannot be an extension of an existing business

Savings If you are applying for your Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa from within the UK you will need to provide a bank statement which shows £945 has been held in the account for a 90 day consecutive period If you are applying for your Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur Visa) from outside the UK you will need to provide a bank statement which shows £1,890 has been held in the account for a 90 day consecutive period Bank statements must be in the applicants name only The Home Office will only accept cash fund accounts. Other accounts, shares, bonds, overdrafts, credit cards and pensions will not be accepted Financial evidence must be original, on headed paper, stamped and issued by an authorised official of that organisation

Home Office Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Points System The Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa is a points based visa. In order to be able to apply, you must obtain a total of 95 points. The points you are able to gain are separated into sub sections. 50 Points will be given if you have a letter of endorsements issued by the University of Surrey 25 points will be given if you have been awarded a degree, master’s degree or PhD from a UK university 10 points will be given for English ability if you have graduated from a UK University 10 points will given if you meet the Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa financial requirements
