14 Days Of Prayer & Fasting “Rejoice & Advance” 14 Days Of Prayer & Fasting

God is all about family “All the families on earth will be blessed through you.” (Gen 12:3, esv) “You have made them members of a royal family. You have made them priests to serve our God and rule on this earth.” (Rev. 5:10, nirv) Shema of Deut. 6 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children

Crazy = family Crazy how families get messed up Crazy how God is committed to making families the method and the mission of His love That’s the picture of Genesis God is committed to these crazy families At worst – immoral, deceitful, broken, murdering At best – awkward, just never looks like what God is trying to make

Sometimes what you see in Genesis Just leaves you wondering what were they thinking

Lots of times family just seem a little oblivious

Yeah, families leave you wondering Who did their hair – and how is the puppet really necessary Of course in the bible we see all types of families

That gets a little scary too We see parents make a lot of mistakes

And then sometimes you just to have words to describe who these families are

Lost touch

Because in the end what we see read through genesis God is about family though at every turn Family isn’t looking pretty. Family we see in Genesis and the Bible is awkward to say the least Like our families favorite game – awkeard family photos

I. God is all about family Who He is How He blesses What was broken What He recreates What His final joy is

The key to wisdom in life is FAMILY Not the absence of self but not the worship of self Family is a place for healthy people What will create, heal or grow God’s plan for family? Not the absence of self but not the worship of self

The key to going from a broken family to a blessed family is . . .

The key to going from a broken family to a blessed family is The key to going from a broken family to a blessed family is . . . BECOME PART OF HIS FAMILY FIRST

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless “ (Eph 5:25) Live it out Community –who will say God provides (board of supervisors) Family – who will be the emotional leader who will let others start again (Family member and neighbors) Most of all – YOU Regardless of what you have – let it go And live out God’s word not your past The good and the bad Someone who has reversed the curse
