Do not capitalize short prepositions, conjunctions, or articles unless they are the first word of the title. example: Have you read To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee? “to” is capitalized because it is the beginning of the title “a” is not capitalized because it is the middle of the title and it is an article
