CGHS Green Energy Project Solar Panels update Solar analytics Monitor (silent auction) Adopt a solar panel Efficient lighting upgrade “Shared Solar” peer to peer trading: seeking 20 volunteers for trial

Canterbury Girls is going solar!

Canterbury Girls is going solar! has gone 100 kw solar power!!

Silent Auction: Solar monitoring device and online account Value $550

CGHS Green Energy Project: CGHS uses ~ 1,000 kWh per day ( = ~ 50 homes. ) Costs: ~ $90,000 = 360 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year! (~90 cars) Phase 1: 100 kW solar (360 panels) : Saving: ~400 kWh per day (~$30,000 p.a.) Cost: $170,000 - solar credits($70,000) - NSW Govt subsidy (~$50,000) = $50,000 Phase 2: Replace current lights (120W/unit x ~500 lights ) with efficient lights (25W/unit) Upgrade Costs: ~ $115,000 . Savings: >700 kWh per day (~$30,000 p.a.) First upgrade trial: 120 lights Cost: $15,000 Saving: $3,500 per year

“Adopt a solar panel!” A joint fundraiser by the school, the P&C and the SRC for the CGHS Green Energy Project Donate $50 per panel to be part of the project. Choose your own panel (each panel is numbered) Give your panel a pet name (if you like) Receive a handsome adoption certificate! Those who adopt will be recognised on the school website and on a display in the school It’s tax deductible! Funds will be used to support the lighting upgrade. Allow CGHS to save up to $60,000 per year to spend on good things for the students!

Adoption Certificate Panel adopted by: Panel adopted name: Panel No. Thank you for your generous donation to the CGHS P&C Building Fund Note: exact location of adopted panel may vary from that shown above
