Year 8 options

Why? Maximize your progress and attainment Give you choice in your studies Motivate you to work hard in all your lessons

Choice 1 You will have 4 humanities lessons per week. 2 will be RE You can choose either History or Geography for the other 2 humanities lessons.

Choice 2 You will have a block of 2 lessons where you can chose 1 of History or Geography or drama or Art or Music If you choose History or Geography you will be in the opposite class to choice 1. If you chose history in choice 1 then you should chose geography in choice 2.

Choice 3 You can choose between Product Design, Resistant Materials, food or Textiles.

What next? You know all of the subjects in the options, the difference will be that you study them in greater depth. Talk to your teachers and parents Fill in the form with your 1 st and 2 nd preference in each choice. Return the completed form to your tutor by Friday 7 th June. Your choices now will not limit your choice in your year 9 options.
