Presentation transcript:

Oil pressure of the car engine allow the oil to flow through the several components of the engine until it reaches the bearings.

If you accelerate the car, the engine requires more oil pressure. But, when the engine is idle, the oil pressure lower automatically.

When the oil pressure of your car is reduced, you will experience the symptoms which will alter your driving abilities and making it inefficient.

Below are the symptoms which help you to experience the low pressure of your car engine oil.

Weak engine performance

If you have low oil pressure in the engine of your car, then the engine performance will lose its efficiency.

As a result, the engine components unable to lubricated properly and force the engine to work harder to sustain the power needs by the car.

Warning lights

When the oil pressure is low, the warning lights of your car are illuminating on the dashboard and oil pressure level is detected by the sensors.

These sensors are generally connected to the engine control unit. So, it will activate the warning light on a computer when the low pressure is detected.

Strange sounds

If the components of the engine cannot be lubricated from the oil properly, then it will grind together and cause clunking and grinding noises.

If you find any types of unusual noises from the car engine, then it clearly proves low oil pressure or low oil level in the car.

Engine overheated

When the oil pressure of your car engine will low, it unable to cool down enough through the oil and lead to engine overheating.

In this way, the engine starts to heat up and becomes overheated. So, check the temperature gauge and notice the needle which is moving towards the red zone.

Burning smell

When you have low oil pressure in the car engine, the oil will fall from the hot components of the engine.

Due to the lack of pressure, the oil unable to flow and stays on these components longer and get burned. At last, the burning smell will come from the the burnt oil.

Conclusion

By going through the above-defined symptoms, you will easily recognize the low oil pressure of your car engine.

When you notice the low pressure of your car engine, take it to your mechanic as soon as possible for repairing it.
