The Tewksbury Public Schools Preschool Program provides the introduction to and the foundations of learning. These learning experiences serve as the first bridge between home and school. They channel children’s natural enthusiasm and curiosity to set the stage for future learning. Copyright 2007 Thomson Delmar Learning. All Rights Reserved.

At Albany Preschool, children are treated with respect and direct their own play activities in a rich, varied environment. Professional staff and parents work together to create a child-centered program addressing the varied physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs of the children. Albany Preschool Each day, children experience self-directed play in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. As they explore and manipulate their world, children gain confidence in their growing abilities. This learning is enhanced through conversations with other children and caring, involved adults. Albany Preschool The role of the teachers is to provide a learning environment that is both challenging and nurturing. As a cooperative community of learners, Albany Preschool recognizes the importance of ongoing education for its adult members. Parent education, staff development, and parent involvement facilitates this learning. Copyright 2007 Thomson Delmar Learning. All Rights Reserved.

Philosophy The Grinnell College Preschool program uses developmentally appropriate practices to provide a safe, supportive and nurturing environment where children develop physically, socially, emotionally and cognitively. The program also supports the relationship between children, their families and the preschool staff. The program provides an innovative curriculum with materials, experiences and teaching methods that are grounded in the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) principles of child development including age and individual appropriateness. The Grinnell College Preschool received accreditation from NAEYC in April 2004. All learning activities are presented through play. These activities engage the children so they can explore, experiment, imitate, ask questions and be questioned to further their thinking and problem solving skills . Preschool Philosophy Statement We believe that each child's first school experience should encourage positive feelings about self and others. We believe that each child is a unique gift from God with individual talents and abilities. We believe that the Saint Agnes Preschool Program should provide for development of the whole child. We believe that each child should learn according to his/her own development level. We believe a preschool learning environment should place emphasis on a child's self-esteem, creativity and independence. We believe that parents and teachers together can foster a love for learning in a faith-centered environment Copyright 2007 Thomson Delmar Learning. All Rights Reserved.

Philosophy At Town and Country Preschool we believe children learn best through hands on activities. Skills such as phonics, literacy, socialization, mathematics and self-esteem are all taught through activities like art, science, music and movement, dramatic play and social studies. In addition, we believe that making your child feel like a very special individual will enhance his/her learning experience. Copyright 2007 Thomson Delmar Learning. All Rights Reserved.
