Miles Halter is a sixteen year old high school boy that leaves his public school in Florida to start over at Culver Creek, a private school in Alabama.

Miles soon meets his roommate Chip Martin who tells him about the school and warns him of the Eagle who is the principal of Culver Creek.

Chip Martin introduces Miles Halter to Chips friends Chip Martin introduces Miles Halter to Chips friends. Miles meets Alaska Young who is the most beautiful girl at Culver Creek. Miles knows the moment he met Alaska that she is different than most girls. She is very mysterious.

Miles has to deal with pranks, smoking, drinking, strict rules, and his love for Alaska.

Who is Alaska Young and what makes her so different Who is Alaska Young and what makes her so different? Does Miles and Alaska become a successful couple?

I would recommend Looking for Alaska by John Green to teenagers and young adults who are interested in mental illnesses mysteries, and love stories. I give looking for Alaska a 5 out of 5. Looking for Alaska kept me interested during the whole book and left me with wonder and mystery.

John Green wrote this book to show that its hard to let go of things that mean a lot to you even though you may know they are gone.
