Setting This story takes place on a farm in a rural area. The farm belongs to the Fitzgibbon family. Mrs. Frisby’s family lives in a cinder block in the garden. The Rats of NIMH live in the Fitzgibbon’s rosebush. Table of Contents Next---- 9/20/2018

Plot Mrs. Frisby, a courageous widowed field mouse, with four children is faced with what seems to be an insurmountable problem. Her youngest son, Timothy, has pneumonia and is not strong enough to survive the move from their winter home in the garden to their summer home by the creek. If he stays, he will die when Mr. Fitzgibbon plows the garden. She seeks advice from the Owl who tells her to go to the rats that live in the rosebush. She discovers the Rats of NIMH were friends of her late husband, Jonathan. They help her with her problem. Table of Contents Next---- 9/20/2018
