Boots on the Square November 10 - 11, 2017 At Huntsville-Madison County Veterans Memorial A Veterans Day Event Sponsored by AUSA Redstone- Huntsville - Nick’s Ristorante – Below The Radar – Bearded Warriors – The Cigar Room The Marvin Group – Yorktown Systems Group - SCSWORX Placing of Shoes at the center of the memorial with stories: Beginning 10:00 AM & completed 3:00 PM by Bearded Warriors and AUSA volunteers on Friday Nov 10 Ceremony for Boots on the Square will be 4:00 PM Friday Nov 10 Shoes & their related Veteran stories will be placed at the Veterans Memorial to honor the Veteran community this Veterans Day by friends & family of Veterans. Visit the AUSA Web site or see the BOOTS ON THE SQUARE Facebook page for pictures & additional information How to honor a Military Veteran or show your Military Pride: Select a pair of shoes to display in honor of the Veteran. (Veteran’s service shoes or your shoes) Copy a 5x7 or smaller photo of the Veteran on to a regular sheet of paper (8/5” x 11”) On the paper write or type the Veteran’s Name, Service, and time served Write a short paragraph or two about the Veteran and/or your relationship to the Veteran Bring the shoes and picture with story to Below The Radar staring 12:00 Nov 5 - 10:00 AM Nov 10 Pick up your shoes and stories after 6 pm on Veteran’s Day Nov 11 at the Memorial. Shoes not picked up by 7 PM will be donated to charity.
