How do we perceive things visually? Take out a sheet of paper for today’s FUN activity!!!

Color blind tests Write down the numbers that you see! Don’t discuss your answers with anyone!!! Did you see…74, 2, 7?

What is color blindness? Can see colors, but have trouble seeing certain ones. Small cells in the back of the eye don’t work properly or can only detect certain combinations of color. Is a genetic condition: passed down from other family members genetically. Males are more likely to be color-blind than girls.

Optical Illusions Most of the time our eyes and brain work together to give us useful info about our surroundings Optical illusions: Occur when your eyes and brain fail to gather/misinterpret visual info. During the next few slides, write down how the image tricks your eyes/brain.
