World Café Etiquette Focus on what matters Contribute your thinking Speak your heart and mind Listen to understand Link and connect ideas Listen for insights and deeper questions Write, doodle, draw on tablecloths Explain that we are going to engage in a protocol that they may enjoy using with their team or in the classroom with students called the World Café. It is especially useful in helping people access prior knowledge and experiences that may provide essential background for new ones. It helps people make connections between old and new information and to think about what else they need to understand to use it. Review points of etiquette with participants and explain they will receive instructions for this protocol step by step. © Nashville Ford NGL Hub

World Café When directed by the facilitator, Silently write, draw, doodle your response to the question on the tablecloth 2 min Silently read each others responses 2 min Share your responses verbally and develop a collective response about how your vision aligns with the academy model 2 min One ‘Expert’ Remains at the Table Break your participants into three groups. Once they have developed a collective vision, move participants to the next table.
