How do we use a computer in our daily lives? Surfing the internet; Playing computer games; Sending an email to friends or families; or Social media

Computer games When you play your favorite computer game, do you have to think about the keys that allow you to move or fire?

Is keyboarding is a learned skill? The use of a keyboard is a motor skill, just like riding a bike. Once your muscles have mastered the technique, it allows you to perform the task without thinking about it.

What are the benefits of learning how to type? Keep your eyes focused on your work; You do not have to think about where the keys are; You can concentrate on your spelling and grammar; and You can concentrate on the content of your writing.

Have you ever looked at someone type really fast? What is the first thing that goes through your mind when you see someone type really fast? What do people who type fast have in common? They never look at the keyboard as they type; They use all of their fingers; They mastered the proper technique; and They practice!!!

Two-Finger Typing How many of you type with two fingers? Why do you believe you type with two fingers? Think about our example of the bicycle…do you really want to be stuck in training wheels, thinking about every turn?

Why should you master keyboarding skills? It allows you to concentrate on where you are going, not how you are going to get there.

What are proper techniques on mastering keyboarding? Maintaining good posture; and Correct fingers on the keys
