Arrival We’ll meet our Tour Director once we have cleared customs and claimed our baggage. Staying awake throughout our arrival day is the best way to beat jet lag. I will post on the Facebook page as soon as we land (as soon as we have WiFi/ service).

Tour Director Our dedicated Tour Director will be with us throughout tour to handle logistics and provide suggestions for activities. All Tour Directors are trained to handle any emergencies that could arise on tour. They have 24-hour access to local EF offices, as well as EF’s worldwide and North American headquarters.

Meals Breakfast typically includes cereal, bread, juice, coffee and tea. Lunches will be on our own. Dinners will be a mix of local cuisine and familiar dishes served as a preset meal for our group, rather than chosen from a menu. Food portions are sometimes smaller than they are in the U.S. Table water is included; other beverages will be of additional costs. Bottled water is included in countries where it is deemed necessary. Please inform us of any allergies. check

Hotels Generally, hotel rooms are smaller than in the U.S. Most hotels will not have air conditioning or elevators. Wi-Fi will not always be available, and when it is there may be a fee. Late check-ins may be necessary.

Rooming Students are roomed 2-4 per room in a combination of twin and shared double beds. Adults will share twin rooms with other adults.

Global Travel Protection Plan Your plan covers: Illness and accident Baggage and property Tour cancellation and interruption Flight delay 24-hour access to an English-speaking representative If GTP is included in tour price (Trip Builder), delete right column. If it is not included, keep and change to black.

Spending money ATMs are the best way to get money Don’t bring traveler’s checks Notify your bank or credit card company that you’ll be abroad (MUST HAVE CHIP) Bring at least the equivalent of $50 – 60 in Euros (you can exchange $$ at your bank) A Plus Exchange in Santa Monica has good rates—shop around! Currently, 1 Euro = approximately 80 cents

Cell Phones If you wish to have your traveler use his or her cell phone abroad, it is your responsibility to make arrangements ahead of time. It can become very expensive to use phones outside of the country if you don’t have a plan set up. Get unlimited calls within International Day Pass countries and back to the U.S. and unlimited texts to the world at no additional charge. Just a heads-up. If you have apps running in the background that use data, you'll be charged the daily fee. All you need to get started is a Mobile Share plan or an AT&T Unlimited plan.
