NESSCO believes in closely coordinating with various stake holders of rural India for a sustainable model that empowers youth and women with skill based training and linking with the market on need basis. NESSCO would work closely with villages for holistic development of students, youth, and women finally the villages as a whole. We address few relevant issues for the overall betterment upon discussing with the committee that would be formed for better results.

SCHOOL Sports Academic Social Work Defining the activities of sports and games in consultations with the core team Arranging the kits and other necessary equipment Periodical internal competitions Selecting the best for school or district level competitions Identifying the sponsors and coaches for the best candidates Felicitating the student and team of coaches at school functions. There would be one action committee member for follow up. Listing out the academic activities to be taken up with the help of class teachers. Training and lectures from a subject matter specialist on few topics and conducting small quiz programs Conducting essay and elocution contests class wise - Encouraging school level techno exhibitions to encourage scientific thinking. - Recognizing and rewarding the top 10 students in a function. There would be one action committee member for follow up. Identification of activities by the committee. Involving all the students of the school as far as possible. Community development activities like planting saplings around the school or in the village. Developing the garden in school or around the common places of the village. Involving the parents of students if it is taken up outside the school. There would be one action committee member for follow up.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT Hygiene Health Empowerment Identification of issues involved in sanitation that a family and a group can attend. Conducting awareness classes to the home makers and giving demos of keeping surroundings clean. Serving with public health equipment and some remedial material. Making few streets to follow and comply with health mandates. Observations and recording the success stories from women. There would be one action committee member for follow up. Emphasis is on the nutritional status of the women individually and advocacy on the same. Suggesting and making available the healthy and nutritious food to avoid deficiencies. Training on physical activities like walking and other activities by specialists. Periodical checkups for progress report of the women. Making an exclusive walking track for the women. There would be one action committee member for follow up. Determining the opportunities of products and services by experts. Training on the respective products with real time exposure to the concerned activity. Trying for the tie up with the concerned NGOs & market for long term sustainability. There would be one action committee member for follow up.

YOUTH Physical Fitness Technical Guidence Career Guidence Establishing a gym with latest equipment. A trainer who could guide them to the practice. A periodical noting of the health parameters of the registered youth. Adding yoga classes to those who exert there for physical fitness. There would be one action committee member for follow up. Identification of skill sets required to that particular village youth. Establishing a small unit for training. Engaging the domain experts to train them. Connecting the certified /tested youth with the job portals/ companies There would be one action committee member for follow up. Bringing expert faculty for career guidance according to the skill set learnt. Arranging one day sessions for rural youth on communication skills by experts. Bringing the job portals/companies to the village. Awareness programs on entrepreneurial efforts with skill sets learnt. There would be one action committee member for follow up.

VILLAGE Sanitation Cultural Campaign Involving Panchayat/Health inspector to finalize timelines of activities. Planning community efforts in drainage work for stop inundation /stagnation of drainage. Buying village level fogging equipment for staggered usage in all ward. Training on the usage and repair work of the equipment. There would be one action committee member for follow up. Medical camps for general health check ups. Eye camps with the help of donors/organizations. Special health camps for diabetics. Facilities for greenery filled parks for elders to have a place for walking/yoga etc. Arranging for short term coaching on health tips through naturopathy etc. There would be one action committee member for follow up.
