Demonstrations on how to use your home computer to support your hobbies and other interests. Our members have varying degrees of computer expertise and between meetings we keep in touch to help solve each other’s technical problems via our website

Welcome I’m David Pearce and I have very recently taken over as leader of the Group. I am a computer user, not a technical geek, so our meetings will focus largely on how we use our computers and tablets, not how they work If you think you might be interested in what we do, please take a minute to look at this very brief presentation

Useful programs and Apps and how to use them Are Apps and tablets better than traditional software and PCs? Are free apps as good as premium versions? Best/alternative software for word processing, email, photo editing and organising Is there a good personal finance app to control your spending? Creating a family blog or website Do you know how to make your documents look neat and tidy? Does your personal budget spreadsheet automatically display a red number when you overspend? Can you creating differing transitions in your presentations?

Keeping in Touch Do you send emails from your smart phone or PC? Is it helpful to receive emails wherever you are? What is the best package for talking to family and friends around the world? Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and other social media
