What is urban planning  Urban planning designs settlements, from the smallest towns to the largest cities.(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theories of urban planning)  Urban planning is design and regulation of the uses of space that focus on the physical from,economic functions, and social impacts of the urban environment and on the location of different activities within it (aspects of the urban development and planning, Bernhard butzin)  Urban and regional planning is the process by which communities attempt to control and/or design change and development in their physical environments.(The Canadian encyclopedia)

Those urban complex are  colombo,kaluthara  Jaffna  Galle  Kandy  These complex were build according to a urban planning manner.but the community in these complex are face on following challenges
