Globe Trekker in CHINA

The Silk Road A series of trade Routes stretching from China to as far as the Roman Empire. The main commodity… SILK Led to the growth of modern Civilization

The Great Wall A series of stone and dirt walls in China. They were built and rebuilt between 5th Century BC and the 16th Century. Used to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire during the rule of successive dynasties. Myth…It cannot be seen from the moon…. or from the earth’s orbit.

The Forbidden City Located in the center of Beijing Called “Forbidden” city because commoners were not allowed to even approach the walls. It is the world's largest palace complex and covers 74 acres. Yellow is the dominant color at the palace since it is the color of royalty. Housed 24 emperors until 1924 When opened to the public.

Tiananmen Square The public square located near the center of Beijing. Tiananmen means Gate of Heavenly Peace, which are the front gates of the Forbidden City.
