Arabic is the language of Islam – the Qur’an is written in Arabic, it’s the language much of the Middle East still speaks today Hebrew is the language of Judaism – their holy books are written in Hebrew

Judaism and Christianity begin in Israel Judaism and Christianity begin in Israel. The city of Jerusalem is there and is important to all three religions. Islam began in Saudi Arabia. Mecca is where Muhammad spent much of his life and where the Kaba is located.

Abraham – was polytheistic, the one God spoke to him and gave him the “promised Land” in Israel, “covenant”, father of all three religions Jesus – messiah for Christians, son of God (DIVINE), taught using parables, born and raised Jewish, preacher of forgiveness, stories of him in the New Testament Muhammad - greatest prophet for Muslims, NOT DIVINE, received messages from God that were recorded in the Qur’an

What/Where is this? Why is this place important to Muslims?

Kaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia Muslims believe this is the site of Abraham’s sacrifice and that Muhammad came later and dedicated it to Allah. This is the center of Islam today. One of the five pillars is to make a pilgrimage to Mecca once in your life. Millions gather here each year during the Muslim hajj.

Judaism is the oldest of the three monotheistic religions, and Islam is the youngest. Judaism is roughly 4,000 years old, Christianity 2,000 years old, and Islam 1,500 years old.
