The Instructional Learning Loop: PLC Teams determine: What do we want students to know? Look at state and district standards. Adjust instruction to ensure all students are proficient in the state standards. Refine & improve lesson. Determine modifications to meet deficiencies. Study the standards and agree on student learning expectations. Analyze student work: Revisit standards before analyzing student work. What does the data reveal about instruction? Identify what students know vs, what skills need strengthening. Act PLAN Study Select instructional strategies and resources to meet expectations. Do Agree on appropriate assessment techniques that will be used to provide evidence of student learning Implement the plan: Deliver lesson Record results & collect evidence of student learning to take to PLC Plan lessons that include a common assessment: What evidence of student learning will be collected?
