Unpack implant Open the outer package of the implant Empty the inner sterile container with the implant onto the sterile field Remove the plastic cylinder Notes: Each implant is packaged in a double sterile vial The outer package includes two printed peel-off labels with product data, which can be affixed to the patient chart The cap of the outer package is color-coded to identify the implant platform Cover screw is included with implant
Implant placement – using a drill unit Make sure that the Implant Driver is fully seated Low speed 25 rpm Maximum 45Ncm
Implant placement – using a manual torque wrench Make sure that the Implant Driver is fully seated Maximum 45Ncm
Implant placement – using a surgical driver Make sure that the Implant Driver is fully seated
Final implant placement For maximum esthetic results place the implant on the level of the buccal bone or 0.5 – 1 mm below. When placing the implant, align one of the black hex indicators on the implant driver parallel to the buccal wall, which ensures that one of the flat sides of the hexagon is parallel to the buccal side, ensuring preferred prosthetic abutment orientation.
Finalization options There are three options for finalizing the implant surgery One-stage immediate function Provisionalize implant for immediate esthetics and function, using Nobel Biocare temporary or final abutments. One-stage delayed function Use Screwdriver Unigrip to connect a healing abutment to implant. If applicable, suture back the soft tissue. Two-stage delayed function Use Screwdriver Unigrip to connect a cover screw to the implant. Suture tissue flap using desired technique.
