China-Bangladesh Relationship Political relations: current government’s policy towards east, Sheikh Hasina visited China in 2014, Xi Jinping visited Bangladesh in 2016 Economic relation: China is the biggest trade partner of Bangladesh though Bangladesh having largest trade deficit with China as well; Strategic-Security cooperation: Bangladesh Army has been equipped with Chinese tanks and Bangladesh Navy has been equipped with Chinese submarines; the Bay of Bengal is very important to China

One Belt One Road (OBOR) Some countries have doubt on China’s intention But small countries like Bangladesh can take the infrastructural advantage

BCIM issue China wants to connect Yunnan (Southern province) which is land-locked
