Welcome To Mr. Buckley’s Biology Class Thursday October 5, 2017 Day 22

Class Procedure Take attendance Con’t unit 2…chapter 2 Review for Test

Learning Targets During the years of grades 9 through 12, all students must use the following scientific processes with appropriate laboratory safety techniques to construct their knowledge and understanding in all science content areas:    Identify questions and concepts that guide scientific investigations;  Design and conduct scientific investigations;  Use technology and mathematics to improve investigations and communications;  Formulate and revise explanations and models using logic and evidence (critical thinking);  Recognize and analyze explanations and models; and  Communicate and support a scientific argument.

Learning Targets Unit 2 Cells I can… * Define the characteristics of life Describe regulation of the cellular environment (homeostasis) Describe the role of water and organic molecules in cells (lipids, carbohydrates, nucleic acids and proteins)

Important Reminders *Read over chapter 2 and study links from daily slideshow. Test on Friday

https://prezi.com/ncymp7sunpxv/macromolecules/ Tonight's Homework Read over chapter 2…also…these are good links to two prezi presentations on macromolecules. Study the 4 main kinds; their structural makeup and their role in the cell. https://prezi.com/ncymp7sunpxv/macromolecules/ https://prezi.com/-r8c-fscmffx/ap-bio-matter-2-macromolecules/
