THE A4DE EVENT 4 – 7 April 2018 Cessnock NSW The A4DE is one of the toughest, longest and most recognised events in the Southern Hemisphere, an event to which amateur enduro riders aspire to finish and pro riders strive to win.

About the A4DE Event The Cessnock Motorcycle Club proudly presents the 2018 Yamaha Australian Four Day Enduro, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of this important international event on the offroad calendar. Back to its roots, the A4DE event started in Cessnock in 1978, organised by John Hall. Cessnock Motorcycle Club also hosted the 1992 Six Day Enduro World Championship, still remembered as one of the great Enduro events, also organised by John Hall. The 2018 Yamaha Australian Four Day Enduro will be the biggest Australian event on the 2018 calendar, attracting around 350 competitors and contributing around $2 million to the Australian economy. CMCC will be hosting the event with the support and assistance of three other NSW clubs - Dungog MCC, Central Coast MCC and Oyster Bay MCC.

Event Accessibility Central, accessible, well known Cessnock locations The Parc Ferme* will be in the Cessnock Showground in the middle of town. Special tests will be held there every afternoon for the first 3 days. All other Special tests are within 10 minutes of the Parc Ferme. Final Moto location is the same venue as round of the 1995Thumper Nats Motocross Championship, the event still remembered today. Fantastic opportunity for crowds to see great racing and to attend these tests. * Where the event starts and finishes each day and the location where all bikes are impounded during each night throughout the course of the event.

Recognition & Reputation The 1992 International Six Day Enduro held in Cessnock attracted thousands of visitors from all over the globe, and is still talked about to this day as being one of the best Six Days Events ever. We aim to deliver another World Class Event with the 2018 A4DE.

Promotion Opportunity The 2018 A4DE has enthusiastic, early interest The event is already getting huge social media traction after only a single Press Release from Motorcycling Australia on 9.8.17. National media/marketing outlets already in contact with CMCC s about this event and what they can do to assist. New Vintage Class has been added for this event, representing an even wider audience. Great potential for Vintage bikes promotion Huge interest from well-known international riders, including International Vintage riders. There is massive potential for promotion for the event with this level of interest so early. Don’t hesitate – First In, Best Dressed!

Facts & Figures Cessnock City council has estimated that the event will bring over $2 million to the local area. The A4DE brings with it 350 competitors, and 1800 crew members, plus family members, officials, volunteers, media and industry personnel. The A4DE Facebook page has over 4,200 followers already and more social media outlets will be created to promote the event and the area. The NSW FB page is also linked to Motorcycling Australia, Vic, Qld & AORC giving a reach of thousands, with even more in exposure through cross promotion in social media. The 2018 A4DE committee will be investing in radio and television advertising in the area.
