Preparation for the Task You will not have access to the book for the exam. However, you may use whatever notes you have taken. This includes half sheet assignment papers. To prepare for the task, take the following notes: 1. What are two possible themes in this text and where is the evidence? 2. What are two symbols that are found in this text? Record evidence. 3. What is the style of the translation that we’ve read? Record evidence. 4. Fact based observations – summarize the plot of the text by writing a sentence summary of each chapter.

Your Task Plan your response to the provided prompt. Produce a 3-4 sentence introduction paragraph which includes a thesis/answer to the question. You will also write the first paragraph. Create an outline for your response. Each bullet point should represent a single paragraph. Your reference to evidence should clearly support your thesis. Your commentary should clearly connect your evidence to your thesis. Bullet point evidence for the purpose of this task: not quotes, but incidences and evidence from the text.
