BHWET Requirements Trainees are enrolled graduate students working on gaining clinical hours Clinical training in Integrated Behavioral Health takes place in primary care settings Clinical experiences should be interprofessional in nature Trainees receive a monthly stipend paid through this grant and disbursed through UM

Financials HRSA mandates 60% of grant funds be used toward student stipends This will allow for 16 students per year to receive stipends Doctoral students will receive $28,000 Masters students will receive $10,000

Annual Summit Held in conjunction with the Montana Healthcare Foundation For training in Integrated Behavioral Health Utilizing expertise from the National Council on Behavioral Health Attendees include Site Supervisors University Faculty Students

Student Applicants Will be in their final year of training before graduation Will have an interest in rural practice Will have an interest in integrated care Will be placed with a student from another behavioral health discipline

Site Benefits Gain three behavioral health students for up to .5 FTE to assist with delivering behavioral health care Increased training for existing staff in both Interprofessional Education and Integrated Behavioral Health Expanded expertise for existing staff, allowing them to consult other providers on best practices in behavioral health Develop relationships with University programs creating a pipeline for hiring of future behavioral health staff Collaborate with other sites also hosting students Enhanced patient care

Responsibilities Provide on-site supervision of student as defined by the academic program Site supervisors will attend a 2 day summit annually Site supervisors will participate in monthly technical assistance calls with grant staff Sites will provide office space and computers for student use Sites will designate an on-site coordinator for student troubleshooting Sites will provide on-boarding: IT training, credentialing, orientation to facility as applicable and in conjunction with the student Sites will commit to sustaining the program by maintaining slots for future students – based on availability Sites will integrate behavioral health and engage in the culture of learning
