Export Procedure

Physical Distribution Embraces many specific activities concerned with product movement, storage, and related activities

Decision Areas Nature of the shipment:size of the package, the qtty, protection needs. Transportation: modes of transport, insurance, transit needs Warehousing: Assembling, storage, breaking bulk shipments into smaller sizes, preparing products for shipment, loading. Materials handling: provision within the plant. Order procesing and documentation

Modes of Transportation Ocean Air Rail Truck Inland water

Facilitating Organizations and Services Freight Forwarders: forwarding of an export shipment from point of origin to final destination Warehousing (abroad) Free Areas (free trade zones) Insurance Export Packing

Documents Required Commercial Documents Movement Certificates/ Origin Certificates Transportation Documents Govermental Documents Additional Certificates

Commercial Documents Commercial Invoice: unit prices and total prices of the items as well as delivery term and payment term are mentioned Packing List: item by item the contents of each container and the package are mentioned. These two dox are for turkish customs and foreign customs (prepared by Exporter)

Movement Certificates ATR: for EU countries. Shows the goods are coming from Customs Union Countries EUR1: for FTA countries. Origin Certificates: Certificate of Origin: Third party countries GSP Form A: Generalized System for Preferences countries All these 4 dox are provided from/approved by Chamber of Commerce. Only 1 of 4 must be preared according to the exporting country.

Transportation Documents Ocean/Sea: Bill of Lading (BL) Land: CMR Truck: CIM Air: Airwaybill (AWB) All transportation documents are prepared by the liner directly according to exporter’s instructions.

Govermental Documents Customs Declaration Form Consular Invoice Prepared by Customs broker on behalf of exporter
