DESIGN ASPIRATIONS FOR A NEW AMERICAN UNIVERSITY ASU VISION To establish ASU as the model for a New American University, measured not by who we exclude, but rather by who we include; pursuing research that benefits the public good; assuming major responsibility for the economic, social, and cultural vitality and healthy well-being of the community. Access and Quality for All University Level Exemplar Projects University expansion to provide access, ensure quality, and focus on the individual. To establish ASU as the model for a New American University, measured not by who we exclude, but rather by who we include; pursuing research that benefits the public good; assuming major responsibility for the economic, social, and cultural vitality and healthy well-being of the community.
