Metric Ruler There are 2 types of metric rulers we are going to cover in this lesson: the centimeter (cm) ruler and the millimeter (mm) ruler. Study the rulers on the next slide and note the differences between the two.

Metric Ruler The centimeter ruler increases in increments of one. The millimeter ruler increases in increments of ten. Other than that basic difference, the two rulers are identical. 1 cm = 10 mm.
