Ssssshhhh.

SOUND. Our new science topic is about Try very hard to be silent until I say talk. SOUND.

With the people around your table (but not talking), decide which area of the school will be the quietest. Write it on your paper and list some of the sounds you might hear when sitting in that area.

With the people around your table (but not talking), decide which area of the school will be the noisiest. Write it on your paper and list some of the sounds you might hear when sitting in that area.

Is there any area of the school that will be silent? Stand up. Is there any area of the school that will be silent? Show your answer by moving to the correct side of the classroom. YES NO

We are going to move to different areas of the school. When I indicate for you to stop and sit down – like this – you stop and sit down. In silence, you must complete a Sound Sheet for every area we sit in. Try hard to list all the sounds that you can hear.

What is noise pollution? Discuss with the people around your table.

The Rock Stars of the world need your help!!! They want their children to be able to come to their concerts, but they are worried about their precious hearing. The concerts will be very loud, too loud for such young ears! Learn all you can about sound and hearing then design some ear defenders for the young rockers!
