BPA Cares and chapters of distinction Use these documents to help plan your year! https://ohiobpa.org/events-and-awards/bpa-cares-program/ Ohio lost the professional cup to Montana because they had more Quality Chapters reported. These programs are a way to facilitate Service Learning They want to impact the world they are living in, guide them. They want to volunteer, help them. They are curious about solving problems, fee them. Teacher Resources http://www.edutopia.org/blog/service-learning-cafe-freedom-rosemary-owens-blake-oconner http://www.cmu.edu/teaching/designteach/teach/instructionalstrategies/servicelearning/

Special Olympics Update Ohio had the largest state donation total. Remember lots of ways to support SOOH Monetary Volunteer hours Check out SOOH volunteer newsletter https://ohiobpa.org/2016/09/13/volunteer- opportunities-with-sooh/

Region Realignment Regions are unevenly populated. Problem goals Regions are unevenly populated. Have regions that are shrinking consistently. Have regions that are growing consistently. Large regions have less opportunities for BPA students to compete Small regions have hard time operating a regional competition Try to distribute as evenly as possible, goal of 350-450 students per region. Provide for more opportunities for BPA students to participate Enable regional conferences to be operated with enough advisors to share the work.
