Rhetorical Analysis of Documentary Film ….where nonfiction, the visual, and argument converge in documentary film

Difference? The analysis takes the techniques of analyzing writing and adds elements of film. visual images audio tracks verbal texts (voice-overs & words on the screen)

Types of Visual Images archival footage juxtaposition of images graphics/charts/etc cartoons setting camera angles

Final Exam Critically analyze the rhetoric (argument) of the documentary I AM, specifically its purpose, appeals, and its effectiveness. Essentially, you will analyze the argument that the filmmaker makes, how he develops it, and the extent to which he is successful in achieving his purpose. Take notes while watching and bring them to final exam.
