School Health Research Network Student Health and Wellbeing Survey

Student Health and Wellbeing Survey Our school is a member of the School Health Research Network, led by Cardiff University As members, we are taking part in the Student Health and Wellbeing Survey in the autumn term The survey is completed online Our school will receive a Student Health and Wellbeing Report next year

Student Health and Wellbeing Survey Who is taking part? Secondary schools across Wales are taking part All our year groups are taking part Your parents will be told about the survey

Student Health and Wellbeing Survey What is the survey about? There are questions on lots of different aspects of health and wellbeing Food and fitness Smoking, e-cigarettes and alcohol School life and relationships

Student Health and Wellbeing Survey It’s important to know… The survey is anonymous – no one will know what your answers are Honest answers are essential – the information you give will help look after the health and wellbeing of young people at this school and across Wales Some of the questions cover sensitive issues; if you do not feel comfortable answering a question, there is always an ‘I do not want to answer’ option Even if pupils have to log in to a school intranet to access the survey, it is still anonymous. Their log in details are not saved or sent to Cardiff University.

Student Health and Wellbeing Survey

Student Health and Wellbeing Survey It’s important to know… The length of the survey varies depending on your answers to the questions – so don’t worry if you finish earlier or later than others in your class

Student Health and Wellbeing Survey It’s important to know… If you are worried about any of the questions in the survey you can speak to a teacher. Everyone’s answers are private – you should complete the survey by yourself and not ask others about their answers

Student Health and Wellbeing Report Our school will receive a report of the findings from the survey. Data from boys and girls in each year group is pooled, so no one can be identified. Percentage of students who eat breakfast every weekday
