copyright eStudy.us 2008 michael.roberson@eStudy.us Climate Requirements Sugar cane requires a hot, humid, subtropical climate for optimal growth Temperature Average 78 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit Rain fall 29 to 47 inches annually copyright eStudy.us 2008 michael.roberson@eStudy.us

copyright eStudy.us 2008 michael.roberson@eStudy.us Kentucky climate Overview The climate of Kentucky is temperate with moderately cold winters and warm, humid summers. copyright eStudy.us 2008 michael.roberson@eStudy.us Kentucky Sugar Cane Due to the weather condition in Kentucky, it is very unlikely that sugar cane can be grown successfully. The weather conditions are the main cause of the lack of sugar plantations in Kentucky to date. Sugar cane is grown mainly in Florida and Louisiana, and much more successfully in the Caribbean and in Brazil. copyright eStudy.us 2008 michael.roberson@eStudy.us
