Pusillanimous Def: (Adj.) Contemptibl y cowardly or mean – spirited Syn: craven, lily-livered Ant: Stouthearted , courageous, daring Perhaps one of the most memorable characters from “ The Wizard of Oz” was the pusillanimous lion.

Incumbent (adj) obligatory, required; (n) one who holds a specific office at the time spoken of The incumbent has an advantage When running for reelection due to his previous popularity, but is not guaranteed victory.
