What is a ratio? A ratio is one thing compared to or related to another thing; it is just a statement or an expression. Example : The ratio is 3:1 or 3/1 Example: Suppose there are thirty-five people, fifteen of whom are men. Then the ratio of men to women is 15 to 20.
