Homework Grid Summer 2013- Save the World Verbal I enjoy reading, writing & speaking Write your top recycling tips. Create an information text about why we should recycle (Mr. H has a template). Create a leaflet about what conditions trees need to grow. Write about the one thing that you would love to keep forever. Write a story about how you managed to save the last dinosaur. Answer, ‘What does being green mean?’ Mathematical I enjoy working with numbers & science Complete Lerryn Class Spring Term Maths Booklet Find out about how important trees are for us. Estimate how much paper, cans, glass and wood you use a week. Visual I enjoy painting, drawing and visualising Create your own recycling logo. Create a collage using only natural resources. Draw a tree and write down all of the uses you can think of for it. Draw a natural crop. Paint a picture of a farm in England and a farm in India. Create a poster to remind people about all recyclable items. Kinaesthetic I enjoy doing hands-on activities Make an instrument using recycled materials. Make a sculpture using recycled materials. Make a birdfeeder using recycled materials. Create a cushion using recycled material. Make a tea towel using an old piece of clothing. Create our class name using recycled materials. Please complete a minimum of 10 tasks, with a minimum of 2 per row before the Summer holidays. When you have completed your homework, bring it in so we can celebrate it!
