JFK Events during his presidency included the Bay of pigs invasion, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Berlin wall, the space race and the African American Civil Rights Movement. He served as the U.S House of representative for Maryland from 1947-1953. He was briefed on a CIA plan developed within the Eisenhower Administration to train Cuban exiles for an invasion of their homeland which involved killing Fidel Castro. He was the first Irish Catholic President He was President during the Cold War. He was assassinated November 22 1963.
