How to write a script for a drama? Useful tips

Writing a script for a drama is similar to writing a script for a film Writing a script for a drama is similar to writing a script for a film. There are some differences or very important elements of drama.

Element 1 The background

It is necessary to explain the place and time. Only general description of a situation is given (drama constrains changing the set or props).

Element 2 The dialogue

It delivers the message of the author.

Element 3 The language

It shows the setting and society it represents. It should be simple, concise and easily understandable.

Element 4 The audience

The immediacy of reaction from the audience. Each time the script can be different (different audience, different mood).

Element 4 Format

You need to include: Title page (the title of your play, author's name, title of the original source, name and address of the publisher and the year). A summary of drama (about 150 words). A list of characters and their certain characteristics. The breakdown of scenes. The location, time and characters must be identified before a scene starts.

Conclusion (2) Drama is a form of communication which includes a different emotional aspect.
