ACUPUCTURE & MOXIBUSTION

INTRODUCTION Acupuncture and moxibustion are the therapeutic methods in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Developed in ancient china several thousand years ago Acupuncture and moxibustion is an external therapy. Using needling and moxibustion It can stimulate the body and activate the regulating function of certain organs in the body. Not only treat disease, but also can prevent disease. The treatment is natural, non chemical.

Meridians & Acupoint Meridians are the routs that connect different body parts base on the clinical application of acupoints. The science of acupoints elucidates the relation between the visera and the meridians.

Meridian Meridians include Meridians and collaterials Meridian refer to the longitude of body parts Collaterials are branches of meridians. Meridians connect all body parts, Regulating their qi and blood and coordinating their functions. Meridian also influence various complicated pathological change. The system of meridian is mainly composed of 12 regular meridians and 12 branches, 15 collaterals,12 meridian tendons, 12 skin area and 8 extraordinary vessels

Acupoint Acupoints are the spots where qi and blood from the viscera and meridians in and out of the body surface. Acupoint are usually located in the thick muscles or between tendons and bones.

Moxibustion Moxibustion is a therapy used to treat and prevent disease by appling burning moxa to stimulate the human body. The moxa is mainly Chinese mugwort leaf which is easy to ignite. The moxa corn is placed on acupoint.
