Program Description The Respiratory Care Program is designed to prepare California licensed respiratory care practitioners at the registered (advanced) respiratory therapist level. It focuses on diagnostic procedures, treatment, and management of patients with conditions affecting the cardiopulmonary system. The respiratory care practitioner works closely with the physician in assessing the patient and planning the proper respiratory care protocol. Work Environment: Hospitals Intensive care units ER High risk births Transports Recovery room Trauma bays Neonatal intensive care/ Pediatric intensive care Asthma clinics Cystic Fibrosis clinics Allergy clinics Pulmonary rehabilitation Home care Brief Description of your program.
