Frankenstein : The True Story, 1973 Loosely based on the novel by Mary Shelley. Directed by Jack Smight. v Differences Similarities The creature is a handsome young man of high intelligence, not a monster. The monster becomes ugly as the film progresses. They are best friends. Frankenstein and the monster die in Antartica.

Frankenstein, 1994 This movie is the original adaptation of the novel by Mary Shelley, Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus. Directed by Kenneth Branagh, in 1994. The movie is a perfect illustration of the novel.

I, Frankenstein, 2014 Written and directed by Stuart Beattie, in 2014. This movie is inspired by the main story of the monster, but it focuses on what is happening after Victor Frankenstein’s death.
