2. Mary Shelley - Frankenstein
She is known as the “mother of horror”
Shelley was an English novelist, short story writer, dramatist, essayist, biographer, and travel writer, best known for her novel Frankenstein (1818)She also edited and promoted the works of her husband, the Romantic Poet and philosopher Percy Bysshe Shelley.
Frankenstein tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who creates a grotesque but intelligent creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment. Shelley started writing the story when she was 18, and the first edition of the novel was published anonymously in London in 1818, when she was 20.

3. Bram Stoker - Dracula
Bram Stoker's vampire novel Dracula, which paved the way for vampire lore in popular culture, was published in 1897.
The novel tells the story of Dracula's attempt to move from Transylvania to England so that he may find new blood and spread the undead curse, and of the battle between Dracula and a small group of men and women led by Professor Abraham Van Helsing.
Dracula has been assigned to many literary genres including vampire literature, horror fiction, and the gothic novel. Stoker did not invent the vampire but he defined its modern form, and the novel has spawned numerous theatrical, film, and television interpretations.
