Course Purpose A key component to the discipline of IT is the understanding and the advocacy of the user in the development of IT applications and systems. IT professionals must develop a mind set that recognizes the importance of users and organizational contexts. They must employ user centered methodologies in the development, evaluation and deployment.

Course Glossary User A user is a person who uses a computer or network service. Users generally use a system or a software product without the technical expertise required to fully understand it. Power users use advanced features of programs, though they are not necessarily capable of computer programming and system administration. - Google
