What does it look like? Distributed on the street in two main forms Cocaine hydrochloride- white powder Crack- cocaine hydrochloride that has been processed with ammonia or baking soda and water into a freebase cocaine- chips, chunk, or rock.

How is it used? Powder- snorted, administered orally, diluted with water and injected. Crack- smoked

Short term effects Narrowing of blood vessels Dilated pupils- Increased body temperature- Increased heart rate- Increased blood pressure- Insomnia- Increased anxiety

How long does it last? Lasting effects depends on how it is used Immediate effects- high energy, reduced fatigue, increased mental clearity. Duration of effects depends on absorption Snorting- 15-30 minutes, less intense Crack- 5-10 minutes, more intense
