Task 1. You are going to read the text aloud. You have 1 Task 1. You are going to read the text aloud. You have 1.5 minutes to read the text silently, and then be ready to read it aloud. Remember that you will not have more than 2 minutes for reading aloud. Who has the most recognized face in Britain at the moment? No, it is not the Queen, nor is it the Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, it’s not even Robbie Williams! The most recognized face belongs to a young man called Daniel Radcliffe. Daniel Radcliffe is the actor who plays Harry Potter on film and whose face looks out from a thousand posters across the nation. The image of Harry Potter is familiar. Even people who haven’t read any of the books or seen any of the films know exactly who he is. And exactly what he looks like. The popularity of Harry Potter series was seen so unusual that many newspaper and magazine articles were written about to try to understand its success. The theme of the books is not very original and there have been many similar tales published before without such booming. Why then, should these books be so popular in this day and age?

1_______________________________________ Task 2. You are going to take part in a telephone survey. You have to answer six questions. Give full answers to the questions. Remember that you have 40 seconds to answer each question. Where do you live? 1_______________________________________ Is your area a touristy place? 2_______________________________________ What can a tourist see in your place? 3_______________________________________ What is your favourite place or sight in Moscow? 4_______________________________________ Which country do you want to visit? Why? 5_______________________________________ Which touristic destination is popular among the Russians? 6________________________________________

You will have to start in 1.5 minutes and speak for not more than 2 minutes. You have to talk continuously. Good luck in your exam!!!
