Presentation transcript:

I am learning why Muslims celebrate Eid Al Adha and what Muslims are remembering.

I am learning What Muslims remembering at Eid Al Adha. How Muslims celebrate the festival? When Eid Al Adha is.

No presents are given on this Eid. Eid Al Adha: is sometimes called Big Eid. Just like Eid Al Fitr, Muslims go to the Mosque in the morning and get together with their family to have a feast. No presents are given on this Eid. http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/religion/islam/eid_haj.shtml

This Eid remembers Ibrahim being willing to sacrifice his son to God. It showed how much he loved his God.

Remembering Ibrahim’s devotion Muslims all over the world pay for a lamb to be slaughtered. The meat is shared 1/3 kept for themselves 1/3 family 1/3 poor

Hajj

Hajj Completing Hajj is the 5th pillar of Islam. 2 million Muslims visit Mecca every year and stand together before the Kabbah that Ibrahim built praising Allah.

During Hajj Muslims perform acts of worship and renew their faith. Eid Al Adha comes at the end of Hajj.

What are Muslims remembering at Eid Al Adha? How do Muslims celebrate the festival? When is Eid Al Adha?
