jamais Never Can be used alone This is also a negation that goes around the verb Il parle français.= He speaks French. Il ne parle jamais français.= He never speaks French. (Remember…. Il ne parle pas français = He doesn’t speak French).

Rarement Rarely Usually placed at end of verb clause Example: Il joue au tennis rarement.

De temps en temps From time to time/sometimes Can be placed at start of sentence or after verb clause Example: Elle va à la piscine de temps en temps. OR De temps en temps, elle va à la piscine.

Souvent Fréquemment Often/frequently Can be placed at start of sentence or after verb clause Example: Nous dansons souvent. OR Souvent, nous dansons.

Regulièrement Regularly Usually placed after verb clause Example: Je nage regulièrement.

Tout le temps All the time Usually placed after verb clause Example: Mon ami fait les magasins tout le temps.
